New Life this week

Introduction to Wednesday nights:

Looking for an opportunity to know people better and grow in relationships? What about sharing real life with people who care and listen intently? Wednesday nights are just such an opportunity. Things get started at 6:30 PM, there’s food and laughter as everyone catches up on the week’s events. Then at 7:00 PM the women and men separate, each group having relative study and in-depth learning about God’s purpose for us in our homes, with friends and family, and in our schools and work places.

Wednesday night is different from Sunday mornings in several ways. One, it is a place where questions can be asked with group discussion, making it much more personal. You’ll find others with similar questions. It’s a time to explore and discover friendships along the way.  If you’re hungry for God to be more real in your life or more understanding of His Word then Wednesday night is an excellent resource.

Prayer - there are also opportunities to be prayed for and pray for others. Have you ever longed to be able to pray unashamed before others? You will be given the chance to be part of the group prayer. We pray for the church prayer request’s. It is amazing what happens to the child of God when he humbles himself to lift up his brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Those who are prayed for are blessed but so is the one who does the praying.

Grace and mercy is plentiful the night is open to all from young people to the young at heart, from those looking to understand more about this “God thing” to those who have been on this journey for many years. We are all here to give and receive encouragement, grow friendships, and learn more about our true purpose.

New Life Prayer Request

Meet Rita Evanshine - Prayer Coordinator:

Hi my name is Rita Evanshine and as a new Christian myself I have come to realize the importance of having a consistent prayer life; even more so since pastor Dave entrusted me to be the New Life Community Church's Prayer team coordinator.

I cannot call it a duty because it is truly a blessing in so many ways to help facilitate the weekly prayer requests. Know that we consider it an honor to pray for you, your families, and your friends.

As Matthew tells us (Matthew 21:21-22) Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it."

His Word also tells us in (Hebrews 4:16) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Because Christ sympathizes with our weaknesses, we can confidently approach the heavenly throne, knowing that our prayers and petitions are welcomed and desired by our Heavenly Father. Thank you Jesus!!

How much we pray and read God's word doesn't make God love us any more or any less but it can and does deepen our love for Him.

Thank you for allowing us to pray for you and thanks to NLCC for being the loving church family that you are in Christ!
